About Pole Divas Ringwood
Pole & Aerial Divas Ringwood is a studio on New Street that teaches pole, lyra hoop and aerial silks, with weekly courses for women and separate classes for teens and younger kids. Beyond the term timetable, the studio hosts private parties, and because it is one of the Divas studios fitted out for aerial work, a group here is not limited to pole: the party can be built around silks or the lyra hoop instead. Parties suit hens nights, birthdays, a fresh start after a divorce, or simply a group that wants to give pole a go. The format runs for 90 minutes. Guests are greeted with a glass of non-alcoholic sparkling, then the instructor leads a warm-up, teaches a few tricks that look far harder than they are, and puts together a routine the group can show off afterwards. Pole and lap dance is the usual theme, set in a club-style space with the lights down. The studio's one-person-per-apparatus rule applies, so each guest has her own pole, hoop or silk. Parties are priced per head with a minimum of ten people and are strictly for guests aged 18 and over. Starts from 8pm, and functions on public holidays, attract a flat surcharge. Group classes at Divas are a women-only space, but men are welcome at private functions. For pole, shorts with a singlet or t-shirt work well, and heels are optional; for silks and lyra, wear full-length leggings with socks so the fabric and hoop do not rub. How much is a party at Pole Divas Ringwood?
Studio parties are $40 a head with a minimum of ten people. A $50 surcharge applies to any function starting at 8pm or later, and another $50 for functions held on a public holiday.
Can we do silks or lyra instead of pole?
Yes. Ringwood is one of the Divas studios set up for aerial work, so a party can choose aerial silks or lyra hoop as well as the usual pole and lap dancing theme.
How long does a party run and what happens?
Parties run for 90 minutes. Guests get non-alcoholic sparkling on arrival, then the instructor leads a warm-up, teaches some tricks and builds a dance routine with the group.
Is there an age limit, and can men come?
Parties are for guests aged 18 and over only. Weekly group classes are a women-only space, but men are welcome to take part in private lessons and private functions.
What should we wear to the party?
For pole, shorts and a singlet or t-shirt are ideal and heels are optional, though a top must be worn. For silks or lyra, wear full-length leggings, socks and a singlet or t-shirt.
