About Pole Divas Moonee Ponds
Pole Divas Moonee Ponds is the Holmes Road studio of the Pole & Aerial Divas group, and it is set up purely for pole – there are no silks or hoops here, just rows of poles, mirrors and a team of instructors who teach pole, dance, strength and stretch classes to women through the week. Several of them compete in pole at a national level and the studio is co-owned by one of those competitors, so the party is in experienced hands even if nobody in the group has touched a pole before. Parties run for an hour and a half. Guests are greeted with a glass of alcohol-free sparkling, then the instructor takes everyone through a warm-up, teaches a handful of impressive-looking tricks and builds a short dance routine the group can perform together by the end. The standard theme pairs pole with lap dance moves, and the bride-to-be or birthday guest gets a say in the soundtrack. Beginners and people who already train are equally welcome, and the format suits hens nights, milestone birthdays, divorce celebrations and friend groups who simply want to try it. Bookings are for ten or more guests, all 18 or older. Men can't join the studio's regular women-only classes but are welcome at private functions. For something extra, the Divas group also pairs a 60-minute pole class with a 30-minute show from a drag queen, with bubbles on arrival and a gift for the guest of honour. Send an enquiry to book, and allow four weeks' notice if the party needs to be cancelled.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pole party at Pole Divas Moonee Ponds cost?
Studio parties are $40 per guest with a minimum of ten people. A $50 surcharge applies to parties starting at 8pm or later, and another $50 to parties held on a public holiday.
Can we do silks or lyra at this studio?
No – Moonee Ponds is a pole-only studio, so parties here are pole based. Silks and lyra parties are run at the group's aerial studios, such as Richmond and Point Cook.
Is there an age limit, and can men come?
Parties are for guests aged 18 and over. The studio's regular group classes are for women, but men are welcome at private functions.
What should we wear?
Shorts with a singlet or T-shirt work well for a first pole class, and a top must be worn. Heels are optional – any pair you feel confident in is fine, but nobody has to wear them.
What if we need to cancel the party?
Private functions need at least four weeks' notice to cancel, so settle the date and numbers with that window in mind before you send an enquiry to book.
