About Pole Divas Richmond
Pole Divas Richmond sits on the second level of a Church Street building and is one of the Pole & Aerial Divas studios fitted out for aerial work as well as pole. Its weekly timetable covers pole courses, lyra hoop, aerial silks, dance and stretch classes for women, and the same room is also booked for private parties by groups who would rather learn something together than sit and watch. That aerial rigging is what sets a Richmond party apart. Groups can stick with the classic pole and lap dance theme, or have the party run on silks or the lyra hoop instead – a good fit for a bride or birthday guest who would rather hang upside down in fabric than spin around a pole. Whichever apparatus you pick, the shape of the 90 minutes is the same: drinks as guests arrive, an instructor-led warm-up, a few tricks that look far harder than they are, and a short routine to finish. Alcohol-free sparkling is offered on arrival, and Richmond is one of the studios able to serve alcoholic bubbles as well. Parties are for ten guests or more, and everyone needs to be 18 or older. The regular classes are women-only, but men can come along to a private function. No experience is needed, as the instructor pitches the session to the room. Send an enquiry to book, and keep in mind that functions need four weeks' notice to cancel.

Can our party be on silks or lyra instead of pole?
Yes. Richmond is one of the Divas studios with aerial equipment, so a party can be themed around aerial silks or the lyra hoop as well as pole and lap dance.
Are drinks served at a Richmond party?
Guests are welcomed with complimentary alcohol-free sparkling, and Richmond is one of two Divas studios where alcoholic bubbles are also available on arrival.
What does a party at Pole Divas Richmond cost?
Studio parties are $40 a head with a minimum of ten guests. A $50 surcharge applies to parties starting from 8pm onwards and to parties held on public holidays.
How long does the party last and what happens?
Every studio party runs for 90 minutes: a warm-up, some showpiece tricks and a routine the group learns together, with the group choosing the music.
What should we wear for an aerial party?
For lyra or silks, full-length leggings with socks and a singlet or T-shirt are recommended. For pole, shorts and a top are fine, and heels are optional.
