Huntlee Tavern is a contemporary gastropub at 3 Empire Street, North Rothbury, on the Branxton side of Hunter wine country. It trades seven days from early breakfast until late, with a bistro serving lunch and dinner daily, a public bar with TAB, a terrace fitted with screens and audio for sport and gigs, and live music most weekends. There is a large car park, with overflow spaces nearby, and the tavern runs a courtesy bus on set routes. For private events the tavern has both indoor and outdoor areas, so it can host anything from a small get-together to a large celebration. The interiors mix exposed brick, timber ceilings, festoon lighting and leather booths, and the terrace opens the pub up to the outdoors. The functions team takes corporate events and networking evenings, milestone birthdays, engagement parties and wedding celebrations, and looks after the details on the night. Food and drinks are tailored rather than fixed: the venue builds catering and bar packages to suit the group and the spend, drawing on its pub menu of steaks, pizzas, ribs and share plates, and a bar list of beers, local wines, spirits and cocktails.
