About Tuckers Lane
Tuckers Lane is an adults-only property on 43 acres of bushland in North Rothbury, in Hunter Valley wine country. Owners Paul and Carolyn Shields built the cabins, timber bridges and ceremony pavilion themselves, and they host elopements, micro weddings and vow renewals on the grounds. Birthdays, anniversaries and other private gatherings are welcome too. The Ironbark Pavilion is the ceremony space, reached over a timber bridge and along a curved 35-metre aisle with a dam behind the couple. Its roof is made from century-old ironbark salvaged from an old library building. It seats up to 30 guests, or holds 60 to 80 standing. After the vows, guests move to the Ironbark Bar and The Entertainer, a large timber deck with solid tables and a woodfire pizza oven. Weatherproof screens close the deck in when needed, and fans, heaters and mood lighting let it work in any season. A private preparation suite handles hair and makeup in the morning. Micro weddings seat up to 34 guests, and groups of up to 80 can be considered with the venue's approval. The property is reserved for a single wedding on the day, so there are no other guests or shared spaces. Couples choose how much help they want. An elopement uses the venue with your own celebrant, photographer and suppliers, while a micro wedding is coordinated end to end by Carolyn's team with local caterers, florists and celebrants. Drinks are BYO under conditions, and the venue supplies RSA-certified staff to serve them. Five self-contained cabins sleep up to 16 adults, each with a private outdoor spa, so the wedding party can stay on after the celebration. Children may attend the ceremony but can't stay overnight. Frequently asked questions
How many guests can Tuckers Lane host for a wedding?
Micro weddings seat up to 34 guests in the Ironbark Pavilion, and the pavilion holds 60 to 80 people standing for a ceremony. Larger celebrations of up to 80 guests need the venue's approval, so mention your numbers when you send an enquiry.
Does Tuckers Lane host celebrations other than weddings?
Yes. Alongside weddings and elopements, the venue welcomes birthdays, anniversaries, proposals and other private gatherings. Send an enquiry with your occasion and guest numbers to talk through what suits.
Can we bring our own drinks and suppliers?
Drinks are BYO, with conditions, and the venue provides RSA-certified staff to serve them. You can use the venue's preferred caterers, florists, photographers and celebrants, or book your own.
Can our wedding guests stay overnight?
Yes. Five cabins – three with one bedroom and two with two bedrooms – sleep up to 16 adults, and each has a private outdoor spa. Children are welcome at the ceremony but can't stay on the property overnight.
Do we have the property to ourselves for a wedding?
Yes. Each wedding has exclusive use of the property and its spaces – the Ironbark Pavilion, the Ironbark Bar, The Entertainer deck and the preparation suite – with no other guests on site. Elopements, a venue-only option with your own suppliers, run year-round.
