About Royal Hotel Wyong
Frank and Marney own and run the Royal Hotel Wyong, a family pub at 40-44 Pacific Highway, Wyong. The building dates from the late 1800s and pairs that history with a modern interior, combining a bistro, a sports bar with a wall of big screens, and the Riverdeck beer garden under a retractable roof. The pub hosts birthdays, engagements, reunions, weddings, work parties and wakes, and builds a package around the budget you have. There are several function areas to choose from. The Canoe Club is the private room, set up with high tables and bar stools for 80 standing or laid out for 60 seated, and it can be booked exclusively. Lizzie's is a sectioned-off part of the bistro for groups of roughly 25 to 35; it works for a meal together but isn't suited to speeches. For bigger numbers the Dining Room seats up to 130, and the beer garden can also be used for gatherings. Food comes from the pub's own kitchen. Sit-down lunches and dinners are two courses at $38 or $45 per person, choosing two or three dishes for an alternate drop or a set menu built with the chef, with an extra course or garlic bread available. For a looser crowd there are share platters for 8 to 10 people, from dips and cheese to hot savouries, plus pizza slabs. In the Canoe Club a $1,500 minimum spend applies on Friday and Saturday with no hire fee, and a $300 room hire may apply earlier in the week. You can bring your own cake, and enquiries go through the function form or a phone call.
