About The Wallarah Room @ Dish
The Wallarah Room sits on the upper level of the Wallarah Bay Recreation Club on Wallarah Road in Gorokan, where Dish runs the restaurant and function catering. The club looks out across the water of Tuggerah Lake, and the room shares that outlook. The room has its own private bar, restrooms and a coffee room next door with self-serve tea and coffee. A private balcony runs off the function area and doubles as the smoking area, and there is lift access from the ground floor. Set as a dinner, the room seats 90 guests, and it holds 100 for a cocktail-style party. Hire covers five hours, plus an hour beforehand to bring in decorations, and the team sets the tables to your chosen layout with black or white linen and lycra chair covers. The dance floor, a projector with HDMI cable, a microphone and a Bluetooth sound system are all part of the hire. You can decorate the space yourself or bring in a stylist, and bar and wait staff look after guests through the event. Catering comes only from the Dish kitchen. Choose cocktail food passed around the room, a plated menu served alternate drop, or a hot and cold buffet, with grazing tables, platters and canapés on arrival as extras. Drinks can run as a cash bar, a bar tab with your chosen drinks and limit, or a beverage package. Send an enquiry to check a date and the events team will tailor the menu and drinks.

Plated menus are $38 per person for a main, $56 for a main and dessert, $58 for an entrée and main, and $80 for three courses. Buffets are $58 per person for the standard spread or $68 per person for the premium one.
Grazing tables are an add-on at $1,000 for up to 50 guests or $1,700 for 60 to 100 guests. Arrival canapés are $12.50 per person, and platters start at $75.
Food
Plated menus are served alternate drop with two choices per course and dinner rolls, while buffets combine hot dishes, cold salads and a hot side. Gluten-friendly, vegetarian, vegan and halal choices are marked across the menus, and cake can be cut and served for a small charge.

Can we bring our own food or drinks?
No. Outside food and drinks are not allowed, so all catering and drinks come from the venue. Drinks can be a cash bar, a bar tab with a set limit, or a beverage package.
Is there anything extra for 18th or 21st birthdays?
Yes. Security is required for 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st birthday functions, at an added cost. All guests also sign in with photo ID when they arrive, and the room is not available on public holidays.
