Motel Mezza is a Middle Eastern restaurant and cocktail bar at 98 Pacific Highway in Wyong. The menu is built around sharing: dips with Lebanese bread, small plates like falafel and kataifi prawns, and bigger dishes off the grill, all meant to be spread across the table. The team runs celebrations as well as everyday dining, and sends function and event enquiries to its own events staff. The room is moody and warm, with deep green walls, globe pendant lights and a long back bar stacked with bottles. Dining tables run through the main space, and a smaller area behind an old vault door, signed The Vault, holds a long table of its own. For parties the restaurant offers group bookings for small to mid-sized crews, and exclusive hire of the whole venue when you want the place to yourselves. It suits birthdays, engagements, baby and bridal showers, Christmas parties and work nights out. Groups usually eat from the banquet menu. The plant-based banquet is $65 per person, the house Motel Mezza banquet is $82, and a build-your-own banquet, where you pick two dips, three small plates, a side and two larger dishes, is $89. One banquet is served per table, dishes aren't modified, but dietary needs are looked after and all meat is halal certified. The bar can put together cocktail packages to suit your group, and the team also caters events off site. Expect a 10% loading on Saturday and Sunday bookings and 20% on public holidays.
