About Waterfront Tavern
Waterfront Tavern stands on Marina Drive in Shell Cove, right on the edge of Shellharbour Marina. It trades seven days as a pub and bistro, with a main dining room, a sports bar known as the Whale Bar and a string of decks facing the moored boats. Several parts of the building can be held for private or semi-private functions, from small cocktail gatherings to large sit-down celebrations. The Marina Deck hangs directly over the water. Its gas-lift glass walls lift to let the breeze in or close against the weather, and sliding glass doors separate it from the dining room; it takes 50 seated or 60 standing. The Jetty View Deck is a raked-ceiling corner with a 180-degree outlook across the marina and high tables for about 40 standing, while the open-air Sunset Deck is laid out for long-table dinners of around 45. For bigger numbers, the Quarterdeck beside the bar and one side of the Bistro each hold 100 seated or 150 standing, and Whale Cove at the end of the sports bar fits 80 seated or 100 standing. Function menus include two canapé packages at $40 and $54 per person, a Casual Feast at $65 for two courses or $80 for three, and a shared grazing menu at $69 per person, with platters that can be added on. Drinks run on a bar tab or a three-hour package at $69 per person. None of the spaces carries a hire fee, though weekend minimum spends apply when a deck is booked for exclusive use, and the venue's own sound system supplies the music. A celebration cake can be brought in, and decorations are welcome.
