About Ravensthorpe Estate
Ravensthorpe Estate is a 19th-century homestead on Tongarra Road in Albion Park. It was built in 1893 as a family residence for Dr Arthur Wigley Bateman, the district's first doctor, and was later restored with commercial kitchens so it could host weddings and gatherings. Whoever books the estate has the property to themselves for the length of the reservation. The grounds cover three acres of formal gardens, with a rotunda, a courtyard, a pool and a tennis court. The main event space is the Pavilion, which takes groups of 50 to 200 in theatre or banquet layouts and has its own private bar, bathroom and kitchen. The Conservatory suits 13 to 45 people, and two small meeting rooms take 4 to 10. Up to 14 guests can stay on site, or 18 with sofa beds, in three buildings (Bateman Cottage, The Stables and the Manor House), and there is a bridal salon for wedding parties getting ready. The estate caters every event itself and offers beverage packages. Weddings make up much of its calendar, including micro weddings for up to 50, but the team also hosts anniversaries, birthdays, baby showers and christenings in the Manor House, Pavilion and gardens. Corporate groups use it for Christmas parties catered for 10 to 200 guests, retreats and planning days, with optional team-building sessions such as cocktail masterclasses, paint and sip, pottery, yoga and wine appreciation. Site visits are by appointment, and wedding and micro-wedding packs are sent out on request.
