About Central Hotel Shellharbour
Central Hotel Shellharbour is a local pub at 3 Memorial Drive in Shellharbour City Centre, with a bistro, lounge bar and public bar trading seven days. Alongside everyday dining it runs a full functions program, with several areas that can be booked for groups starting at 20 guests and a functions team that looks after the planning from the first enquiry. The largest room is Extension, a purpose-built events centre with tall ceilings, recycled stone and timber walls, custom lighting and its own bar. The open-plan layout gives every guest a clear view of the room, and it holds 350 for a cocktail party, 270 in a mixed layout, 250 theatre style or 150 seated. Upstairs off the bistro, The Deck is weatherproof and heated through winter, looks out over Shellharbour and the lake, and takes 100 standing. Downstairs beside the public bar, the Garden Courtyard sits under fairy lights for up to 100 standing or 70 seated, and the whole bistro including the deck can be taken over exclusively for very large seated events. Catering covers bronze, silver and gold canapé packages, plated two- and three-course banquets, buffets, grazing tables, platters and half-metre pizzas, with set menus generally needing at least 35 guests. Drinks can be run as a bar tab with wristbands, a cash bar, or a three, four or five hour package of tap beer, house wine and soft drinks. Extension hire starts from $500 and includes a function host, bartenders, linen, a projector and AV set-up, with minimum spends applying, while The Deck and the courtyard carry no room hire. Functions run for up to five hours and finish by midnight.
