Illawarra Steelers Club sits on the corner of Burelli and Harbour Streets in Wollongong, in the city's sporting and entertainment precinct beside WIN Stadium. Downstairs it runs as a bar, bistro and sports lounge seven days a week, and the club's main function room, Scarlett's, takes up level one. Scarlett's is a large multipurpose space that can be set for a cocktail party of 220 or a seated dinner of 160, with theatre, classroom, cabaret, banquet and boardroom layouts also available. The room has a stage, speakers, a microphone, AV equipment and video conferencing, along with air conditioning, adjustable lighting, wifi and accessible access. Security and parking are part of the package, and the club's functions manager and events team run each booking from set-up to close. Food comes from the in-house kitchen. A five-choice canapé package and a pizza and pasta share menu both start at $35 per person for 20 or more guests, while plated set menus are $45 for two courses or $60 for three, with alternate-drop options for simpler meals. Grazing platters of sandwiches, wraps, sliders, antipasto or finger food can be added for smaller crowds. Drinks are handled with a bar tab, and tea and coffee are available throughout.
