About Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant
Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant has been cooking on Wollongong Harbour for more than 30 years. It sits on Endeavour Drive above Belmore Basin, where the fishing fleet ties up, and trades for lunch and dinner every day of the week. The kitchen builds its menus around local and sustainable seafood, changing them with the seasons. For functions the restaurant uses its main dining room, a light, open space wrapped in floor-to-ceiling glass so that the harbour, the breakwall and the beach form the backdrop. Tables are dressed in white linen and can be set as long tables or rounds. The room seats up to 110, and a stand-up canapé event takes up to 140. The events team quotes for groups of 20 to 150, from a private dinner to a large company function, and works through the menu, the table plan and the timing with you. Groups of 10 to 30 choose from set menus: two or three courses with dishes such as fried calamari, king prawns, salmon, eye fillet and a dessert, or a shared hot and cold seafood platter menu. Spring set menus start at $65 per person for two courses from Monday to Thursday, with larger menus available all week. Bigger groups receive a tailored proposal, and canapé packages are offered for cocktail-style events. Add-ons include antipasto and seafood platters and side dishes. A festive set menu runs through December for end-of-year lunches and dinners, and public holidays attract a 15% surcharge.
