About The Pavilion Kiama
The Pavilion Kiama stands on the headland at 2 Bong Bong Street, looking out over Kiama's Surf Beach. It is run as a business unit of Kiama Municipal Council and is purpose-built for events, from weddings and milestone birthdays to Christmas parties, conferences, formals and concerts. Kiama Railway Station and the town centre are within walking distance, and there is plenty of free parking on site. The largest space is the Norfolk Room, which takes up to 240 guests at a sit-down dinner or 400 in theatre rows, with a stage, lighting and access to the balcony. Downstairs, the Saddleback and Surf Beach rooms suit smaller groups, and the Foyer and Kendall rooms offer further options for gatherings of up to around 50, depending on the layout. Guests usually gather for welcome drinks and canapés out on the ocean-facing balconies or in the foyer. Rooms can be set for banquets, cocktail parties or presentations, and the building is air-conditioned and fully accessible. Catering is handled in-house by Culinarius, who offer sit-down, cocktail and shared-feast menus and can build one around your event and dietary needs. Drinks can run as a beverage package of one to five hours, a bar tab or a cash bar. All rooms come with a screen and projector (or a large TV), a lectern, cordless mics and built-in sound, and the Norfolk Room adds stage, video and lighting options for bigger functions. The events team works with you on layout, catering and timing from first enquiry to the night.
