About Mrs Gibbons Flowers
Mrs Gibbons Flowers is a floral design studio at Bellambi, in Wollongong's northern suburbs, led by Amber Gibbons, who started working as a florist at 14. Her husband David works in the business full time and is often the one on site rigging a hanging installation or backdrop. The studio takes a limited number of commissions each year so the same small team can see every project through. The approach is closer to spatial design than to ordering centrepieces. Before choosing flowers, the team looks at how light falls in a room, where guests will gather and what the landscape already offers, then decides whether the moment calls for abundance or restraint. For weddings that can mean bridal and personal flowers, ceremony designs, reception tablescapes and statement installations, all developed as one visual language and coordinated with your planner, stylist and venue. Local work has included weddings at Greyleigh in Kiama. Outside weddings, the studio creates florals for milestone celebrations, intimate dinners, bridal showers and elopements, and builds short-term or permanent installations for brands, hospitality spaces and product launches. Concept design and light styling are available too, from a lookbook with colour palette and style direction to on-the-day set-up of candles, linen and other styling pieces. Each commission follows the same path: an enquiry form, a review and consultation, a creative direction with a tailored and itemised quotation, then booking documents. On the day the team installs every element before guests arrive and comes back afterwards to dismantle and pack down.

What does a Mrs Gibbons wedding cost?
The wedding enquiry page lists full-service wedding commissions from $8,000 plus GST, with higher minimums outside the Illawarra. Each project is then quoted in an itemised proposal after a consultation.
Do you take on events other than weddings?
Yes. The studio designs flowers for milestone celebrations, intimate dinners and private gatherings, as well as corporate events, brand activations and product launches.
How is my date secured?
Once you are happy with the proposal, the studio prepares an agreement. Your wedding or event date is held when the signed terms and booking fee are received.
Do you set up and pack down?
Yes. The team prepares everything in the Bellambi studio, installs each piece before guests arrive and returns after the celebration to dismantle and pack down.
