About Owl and Pussycat Events
Owl and Pussycat Events is a floral and event styling studio in Dapto, run by owner and creative director Katie Thompson. Its signature is silk faux flowers, arranged in a full, romantic style that photographs well and does not wilt in the heat, combined with backdrops, plinths, signage and styling pieces to pull a space together. For parties there are three ready-to-order packages in a choice of colour palettes, from blues and pinks to rust, whites, aubergine and burgundy. The Petite suits smaller gatherings with a large custom fabric sign on a stand, three floral arrangements and three plinths. The Signature Celebration adds a white double arch backdrop with a custom vinyl decal, a rippled cake plinth and three large floral displays, while the Grand Celebration builds on that with a large step arch, five big arrangements, box plinths and wicker vases. Delivery, setup and pack down within 30 kilometres of Wollongong are included. Curated events are designed from scratch for bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, engagement parties, christenings, corporate events and milestone celebrations, covering the concept, styling, delivery, setup and pack down. Weddings receive a fully bespoke service. Katie designs ceremony installations, reception florals, backdrops and styling details to suit the venue, hires the large pieces and installs them on the day, then returns afterwards to pack down. Bouquets, buttonholes and other wearable florals are yours to keep, and fresh flowers can be designed for these on request.

How much are the party styling packages?
The Petite is $700, the Signature Celebration $980 and the Grand Celebration $1,500, all including GST and delivery, setup and pack down within 30 km of Wollongong.
Is there a minimum spend for custom work?
Yes. Custom curated events have a $750 minimum spend and full service weddings a $3,000 minimum.
Are the flowers real?
The signature work uses high quality silk flowers. For weddings, bouquets and personal florals can be made with fresh flowers instead if you prefer.
What colours can we choose?
Packages come in blues, pinks, rust, whites, aubergine and burgundy, and a custom palette can be arranged on request.
Do you deliver outside the Wollongong area?
Yes. Delivery and pack down beyond 30 km of Wollongong are quoted by location, and late-night or Sunday pack downs cost extra.
