About Lilies and Lace Weddings
Lilies and Lace Weddings is a Port Kembla studio run by Janette, who began making artificial wedding flowers about 20 years ago for a friend on a tight budget and never stopped. Today the flowers are sourced from quality importers, and every bouquet is handmade to order rather than mass produced, so couples can pick the blooms, colours and finish they want. The range covers flowers for the whole wedding party: bridal and bridesmaid bouquets, flower girl posies, baskets and wands, hair flowers, flower crowns and clips, buttonholes, pinned and wrist corsages, pew decorations and church and reception flowers. Themed collections run from native gum-leaf bouquets and soft country styles to vintage designs with jewels, tropical island looks with orchids and frangipanis, and classic roses and peonies. You can choose a design from the photos, adjust it, or start a bouquet from scratch. Because the flowers are artificial, they will not wilt in summer heat, bruise or brown, they suit guests with allergies, and they can be seen well before the day. Couples can buy their bouquets to keep or hire them from a ready-made range, which keeps costs down. There is also a decoration hire range for the ceremony and reception: arches and French doors with pre-made floral pieces and copper fairy lights, chiffon draping and chandeliers, bridal table and guest table garlands, signing table arrangements, wishing wells, signs and seating charts. Orders can be collected from the Port Kembla studio, and set-up can be arranged at an extra charge.

Are the flowers real?
No. Every bouquet is made from high-quality artificial flowers, so it stays looking fresh all day, does not wilt in the heat and can be kept as a memento.
Can I hire bouquets instead of buying them?
Yes. There is a hire range of bride's and bridesmaid bouquets. Small bridesmaid bunches start at $20 and the Enchanted bride's bouquet hires for $100.
Can I design my own bouquet?
Yes. You can pick a design from the photos and change it, or build one from scratch. Janette can put together a sample to show you before making the full set.
What decorations can I hire?
Options include arches and French doors with floral pieces and fairy lights, chiffon and chandeliers, bridal and guest table garlands, signing table flowers, wishing wells, signs and seating charts.
Do you set up at the venue?
Orders can be picked up from the Port Kembla studio for a do-it-yourself set-up, or Lilies and Lace can set up for an additional charge. Contact the studio for details.
