About Wentworth Hotel
The Wentworth Hotel is a pub-hotel at 195 Parramatta Road in Homebush West, known to locals as the Wenty. Alongside its sports bar and bistro it runs a set of function areas, and it also offers accommodation. A large car park on site makes arrival easy for groups who drive. There are four spaces to choose from. The Gazebo is a pavilion-style outdoor area set apart from the main pub, fitted with ceiling fans and heaters, holding 150 for cocktails or 100 seated. The Outdoor Courtyard sits under festoon lights near the big screens and suits 120 standing or 70 seated. Inside, the Original Sports Bar occupies the front of the 1932 building with its own bar, a fireplace, air-conditioning and two 98-inch screens with HDMI for up to 50, while the Private Residence Room is a quieter, home-style room for 60 standing or 40 seated. Each space carries a minimum spend on pre-ordered food plus a bar tab or drinks package: $2,000 for the sports bar or the Residence Room, $3,000 for the Gazebo and $5,000 for the courtyard. The function menu covers a two-course set menu at $50 or three courses at $65, canapé selections at $40 or $45 a head, shared platters and a $50 grazing table for 30 or more. Music runs through the venue's audio system from your own phone. A $250 deposit holds the date, and BYO is not permitted.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests can the Wentworth Hotel hold for a function?
The largest space is the Gazebo, which takes 150 people for a cocktail party or 100 seated. The Outdoor Courtyard fits 120 standing or 70 seated, the Private Residence Room 60 standing or 40 seated, and the Original Sports Bar 50 for cocktails.
What are the minimum spends?
The Original Sports Bar and the Private Residence Room each need a $2,000 minimum spend, the Gazebo $3,000 and the Outdoor Courtyard $5,000. The spend covers pre-ordered food from the function menu plus a bar tab or beverage package, and any shortfall is paid at the end of the event.
What food can we order?
There is a set menu at $50 for two courses or $65 for three, served alternate drop, plus canapé packages of four items for $40 or five for $45 per person with a minimum of 20 guests. Platters serving ten start at $100, and a grazing table of salads, pastas and pizzas is $50 per person for 30 or more.
Can we bring our own drinks or a cake?
No, the hotel is fully licensed and BYO is not allowed. You can bring one celebration cake, which staff will cut and serve for a $30 cakeage fee, and a lolly table is fine, but other desserts need the coordinator's written approval.
How do we secure a booking?
A tentative hold is kept for seven days, during which you return the signed paperwork, card details and a $250 deposit. Final guest numbers and payment for pre-ordered items are due ten days before the event. Extra security is required for 18th and 21st birthdays, charged at $40 per guard per hour.

Love coming here on Wednesday nights for the $18 steak special. The steak is always great, and the mushroom sauce and Caesar salad are both delicious. The chicken schnitzel was a letdown, the coating wasn't very good. I…
