About The Winston
The Winston is a local pub on Caroline Chisholm Drive in Winston Hills, that now combines a bistro, a sports bar, a beer garden and an events area in the one building. CALA, the modern Australian bistro, turns out wood-fired pizza and steaks off the grill alongside a solid wine list, Taffy's is a sports bar with big screens and booths with their own screens, and the beer garden suits long lunches in the sun. For private events the pub has eight spaces, taking functions from about 30 up to 150 guests, and smaller groups from 10 can be accommodated too. The standout is the Pavilion, an open-plan room with very high ceilings, lots of natural light and a stylish mix of seating, served by its own fully equipped bar. Around the venue there are plenty of good backdrops for photos. There is no fee to hire a space; instead, you commit to a set amount of food and drink, and the functions team sends out a package with menus and options when you enquire. The enquiry form covers birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, engagements and business events. Groups of 20 or more are asked to book through the functions form so the room can be set up properly. Free parking is right out the front, a bus stops a short walk away, and Parramatta and Seven Hills stations are about ten minutes by car. The pub trades until 3am from Thursday to Saturday and until midnight on other nights.
