About Restaurant 317

Restaurant 317 is an Italian and Mediterranean restaurant at 317 Church Street, Parramatta, with seating for about 180 across two joined shopfronts. Its menu is Halal certified and accredited by Coeliac Australia, with a colour-coded plate system that keeps gluten-free food separate, plus vegan and vegetarian choices, which makes it an easy call for groups with mixed dietary needs. The venue is split into several bookable areas. The Grand Function Room hosts up to 65 guests, and when it is paired with the laneway the two spaces open onto each other for up to 100. The Executive Lounge is screened off at the back for groups of up to 40, the Chandelier Lounge at the front suits 18 to 20, the Laneway offers a European-style set-up for 22, and the Right Bar Lounge takes 26 with room for prams and a backdrop. The Bar Function Room holds 35 to 40 and has a PA, a screen and a projector. For stand-up canapé parties the restaurant takes up to 150. Canapé functions are priced per selection, from $15 per person for three canapés, with minimum spends from $500 for 20 guests up to $1,500 for 80 to 100. Banquet menus served on shared platters and unlimited drinks packages are available, or you can run an open bar tab. A complimentary event coordinator arranges menus, drinks, cakes, décor and table plans. On Fridays and Saturdays functions run from 5pm to 8pm or 8pm to 11pm.

Canapé functions cost $15 per person for three canapés, $19 for four, $23 for five and $26 for six, with $3 per person for each extra selection. Minimum spends for canapé functions are $500 for 20 guests, $800 for 30 to 40, $1,100 for 50 to 80 and $1,500 for 80 to 100. The function pack lists banquet packages at $44.90, $59.90 and $69.90 per person. A $15 per person deposit secures a function, and canapé events take a $500 deposit credited against the drinks package.

Food

Banquet menus are served on shared platters, from pizza and pasta through to antipasto, salt and pepper squid, grilled chicken, veal, barramundi, pork belly and lamb shanks, with a build-your-own option. Canapé menus run from three to six or more selections. Everything is Halal certified and Coeliac accredited, with vegan and vegetarian dishes available.

Beverages

You can build your own unlimited package from cocktails, mocktails, wine, beer and soft drinks, with the soft drink option starting at $12 per person, or run an open bar tab from the drinks list. The function pack also lists standard and premium unlimited beverage packages for two or three hours. BYO wine and champagne are allowed at $2.50 per person corkage when a soft drink package is included.

Is there a minimum spend?

For canapé functions the minimum spend is $500 for 20 guests, $800 for 30 to 40, $1,100 for 50 to 80 and $1,500 for 80 to 100 guests.

Can the menu cover Halal, coeliac and vegan guests?

Yes. The full menu is Halal certified and Coeliac Australia accredited, and there are vegan and vegetarian options. Dietary needs are built into the function package or catered for individually.

Can we bring our own cake, drinks or decorations?

Your own cake is welcome with a $2.50 cakeage fee. Wine and champagne can be brought in with a $2.50 per person corkage fee, but only when a soft drink package is part of the booking. Decorations are fine, with bump in and out times confirmed on enquiry.

How do we secure a booking?

Send a function enquiry and the event coordinator will reply within 24 hours. A deposit of $15 per person locks in a sit-down function, and canapé functions need a $500 deposit that goes towards your drinks package.
