About Oceanview Room @ Clovelly Hotel
The Clovelly Hotel, known locally as The Cloey, is a beachside pub at 381 Clovelly Road that has served the area for more than fifty years. It has a bistro, a sports bar, a lounge bar and a dog-friendly beer garden, plus 13 boutique hotel rooms on the top floor, several of which look out over Clovelly Beach. The Oceanview Room is the pub's biggest space for hire. It sits on the mezzanine level, is wheelchair accessible and has its own bar and a private terrace where guests can catch the sea breeze and the view over the water. The room is set up for events of 60 to 120 guests with a mix of lounge seating, high tables and open floor. For smaller groups, the East Ocean Wing takes the eastern half of the room, with clear views of the Pacific, and is offered Monday to Thursday for 30 to 50 guests, which makes it good for sunset drinks. Functions run on canapé-style food packages and beverage packages chosen to suit the occasion, or groups can keep it casual and order from the à la carte menu. The pub kitchen is known for pub classics and seafood such as fish tacos, salt and pepper squid and barramundi. Enquiries go through the function form on the website, which asks for guest numbers, date, timing and type of event, or by email to the functions team. Out-of-town guests can book one of the hotel rooms upstairs.
