Salty's is a surf bar and restaurant at 108 Campbell Parade, directly across the road from Bondi Beach. The room pays tribute to old-school Californian and Australian surf and skate culture, with vintage boards, skateboards and memorabilia from the 1970s to the 1990s on the walls, a long pastel bar and plenty of booth and high-table seating. It opens from 11am daily and runs late, with DJs on every day of the week. For parties, groups of up to 40 can reserve a table online, and anything larger, from a birthday to an end-of-financial-year work function, is handled through the functions enquiry form or by email. The venue does not publish separate function rooms or capacities, so the events team works out the space when you enquire. The food is Southern California by way of Bondi, built for sharing: fish tacos, tostadas, lobster rolls, skewers of carne asada, poppers, pizzas and burgers, with vegan and vegetarian options through the menu. Margaritas are the signature drink. The simplest group option is the bottomless package at $109 per person, available every day, which starts with a Cali Classic margarita and brings an eight-course shared menu with two hours of tap beer, wine and seltzer. Bottomless margaritas can be added for $40 more per person. A 10% surcharge applies on Sundays and 15% on public holidays.
