About Hyde Park Ballroom @ Doltone House Hyde Park
Doltone House Hyde Park faces Hyde Park from Elizabeth Street, a few minutes on foot from St James and Museum stations. The Hyde Park Ballroom ranks among the CBD's biggest function rooms, and what defines it is length without columns: nothing blocks the view, so guests at every table can see both the stage and the dance floor. The styling is modern banquet. Ceilings are lofty, the chandeliers are very large, and the carpet carries a strong pattern of circles, set against dark ceiling panels with built-in uplights you can switch to whatever colour suits the night. Capacity runs to 480 seated, 650 standing, 500 in theatre rows or 400 cabaret-style, enough for a formal, a gala dinner, a wedding reception or a large workplace Christmas party. A dance floor and PA are permanently installed, and you're free to bring in a DJ or run your own playlist. The venue does its own catering, including kosher menus and a wide vegetarian range. The ballroom is air-conditioned, entry is step-free, and there are accessible toilets for guests using wheelchairs.
