About Red Cow Hotel
The Red Cow Hotel, known to locals as The Cow, has been serving Penrith for more than a hundred years and is still family owned. It stands on the corner of Station and Jane Streets, directly across from Penrith Station and the bus interchange and a short walk from the shops. Downstairs there's the main bar, a sports bar screening live games and a leafy courtyard. Functions use three areas. The Station View Room is the biggest: an open, light-filled room beside a bar and close to the balcony, with TVs, a pool table and lift access, seating 60 or holding 90 standing. The Heritage Room on level 1 is a private space hung with historic photographs of Penrith and the pub, with a bar and a designated alfresco area on the balcony, seating 30 or holding 45. The ground-floor Sports Bar, near the main bar and courtyard, takes 45 standing. Catering comes from the pub kitchen. The options include a two-hour bottomless pizza feast with garlic bread and fries, two canapé packages, a sports package of wings, sliders and pizza, and share boards and platters from grazing to tacos. Two- and three-hour drinks packages cover tap and bottled beer, sparkling, white and red wine and soft drinks, with upgrades for premium drinks, spirits or a cocktail on arrival, or you can run a bar tab with a set limit. The rooms suit birthdays, engagements, hens parties, reunions, work lunches and wedding receptions.
