About Osteria Coogee

Osteria Coogee is a modern Italian restaurant at 31 Alfreda Street, Coogee, a short stroll from the beach. The kitchen makes its pasta and focaccia in house, cooks with local produce through an Italian lens and changes the menu with the seasons, and the bar pairs it with imported wines and aperitivo-style cocktails. The dining room is bright and airy, with long timber tables, white walls, big windows and hanging ferns. The whole restaurant can be hired exclusively for up to 100 guests at a cocktail party, with seated figures quoted at between 40 and 85 depending on the layout, or a combination of standing and seated. Smaller groups of 12 to 30 can book tables within the restaurant, and there is a semi-private dining area for 10 to 20 and a semi-private balcony seating 8 to 14. There is no room hire fee for an exclusive booking; a minimum spend applies instead and is discussed with the events team. Site inspections are available by appointment, and the venue has accessible facilities. For food, groups choose from shared set menus: the Mangia menu at $79 a head with olives, focaccia, burrata, gnocchi, porchetta, sides and tiramisu, or the larger Mangiamo menu at $99 a head, which adds oysters, pizza fritta, paccheri and slow-cooked lamb shoulder. Canapé packages are also offered for cocktail events. The Classico beverage package costs $80 a head, with extra time at $60 a head per additional hour, and a cocktail on arrival adds $10 a head. Drinks can also run on consumption on a single tab. There is no cash bar and no BYO, and cakes can be brought in with notice for a $5 a head cakeage fee.

Shared Italian set menus built around house-made pasta, 18-hour fermented focaccia, burrata, porchetta, oysters, pizza fritta and slow-cooked lamb, finishing with tiramisu. Canapé packages are available for cocktail events. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan food can be provided, and event dietary needs should be advised 14 days ahead.

Beverages

The Classico package includes prosecco, pinot grigio, rosé, pinot noir and Peroni from $80 per person, with extra hours available. Welcome cocktails (Aperol Spritz, Americano or Negroni) add $10 per person. Drinks can instead run on consumption on a single tab, split evenly across up to three cards. No cash bar and no BYO.
