About Lillah Kitchen
Lillah Kitchen is a contemporary Middle Eastern restaurant at 128 Longueville Road, Lane Cove. The name means beautiful night in Arabic, and the menu mixes traditional dishes with modern ones, cooked over an open grill in a kitchen that faces the dining room. It opens for dinner from Tuesday to Sunday and for weekend lunch. The dining room is built to feel like a courtyard, with arched wall panels, a feature skylight, exposed brick, grey-washed timber tables and ivy trailing across the ceiling. For events, guests can book a section of the restaurant as a private dining area or hire the entire venue, which holds up to 100 people. It suits birthdays, christenings and Christmas parties as well as work functions, networking nights, product launches and wine tastings, by day or by night. Groups usually eat from the set menu at $69 per person, a shared spread of dips with pita, salt and Aleppo pepper squid and falafel, then large plates such as sticky date slow-cooked lamb shoulder, chicken shawarma, chickpea kibbe or crispy artichokes, with harissa potatoes, fattoush and baklava with ice cream. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free versions are marked through the menu. The bar serves signature cocktails, gin and tonics, Middle Eastern and local beers and an Australian-leaning wine list, and Lillah also caters events off site.
