The Belroy Hotel is a corner pub at 77 Christie Street, St Leonards, directly across from the train station and a block from the Pacific Highway. A cosy sports bar fills the ground floor, while upstairs a bright, conservatory-style bar and bistro opens onto an open-air terrace and one of the longest wraparound balconies on the North Shore. The pub hosts work parties, milestone birthdays, anniversaries and family gatherings across both levels. The Bar & Balcony function area combines that first-floor atrium bar with the covered balcony overlooking Atchison and Christie Streets. It holds up to 75 guests, with stools at the bar, high-top tables and regular dining tables, so it works for a mingling crowd or a relaxed meal. There is a large screen, heating and air conditioning, and both lift and stair access. It is available every day from noon, until midnight Monday to Saturday and 9:30pm on Sunday. The Terrace (50), Bistro (50) and Balcony (30) can also be booked on their own, and the whole top floor can be hired for bigger events. For food, the shared group banquet of garlic focaccia, squid, burrata, rotisserie chicken and cheesecake is $65 per person. Canapés are ordered by the piece in lots of 25, and dip and antipasti platters are also offered. Drinks can run as a bar tab or a package: the classic package costs $55 per person for two hours or $67 for three, and the premium package $65 or $77. A minimum spend applies to each space, and a 20% deposit secures the date.
