Antica Dining is an Italian restaurant in Montrose House, a heritage-listed building on Miller Street in North Sydney, a short walk from North Sydney station. The house is divided into several dining spaces, and the Montrose Room is the biggest of them — a completely private room with its own doors. It holds up to 50 guests: 32 at one long table, or more spread across four or five tables. White walls, hanging pendant lights and tall timber-framed windows give it a bright, elegant feel, and the large artworks on the walls are designed to absorb sound so a full room stays conversational. It suits milestone birthdays, engagement dinners, wedding celebrations and larger corporate lunches. Groups of 17 or more choose from set event menus — shared feasts or two- and three-course meals — starting at $90 per person, with wine chosen from the full list. If you'd rather go smaller, Antica also has the Parlour (11), the Sun Room (12), the Board Room (20) and the Glasshouse Bar for 50 cocktail-style.

A local secret, Antica is a beautiful restaurant with excellent food and service. $59pp Entrée/Main, Main/Dessert is a great deal given the quality. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!
