About Glebe Point Diner
Glebe Point Diner is a neighbourhood restaurant at 407 Glebe Point Road in Glebe. The kitchen cooks from local produce with an eye on sustainability, changing the menu with what is available, using traditional Italian and French techniques, and the team hosts birthdays, weddings and corporate events on any day of the week. The dining room is bright, with big windows onto the street, bentwood chairs, banquettes along the wall and a curved marble bar. There are three ways to book it. Half-venue hire gives you the back half of the restaurant for up to 24 guests with no minimum spend, as long as the group orders a sharing menu. Whole-venue hire seats up to 38 for lunch or dinner with a minimum spend, and a canapé event can take 60 people for the same minimum spend with a preselected canapé package. The sharing menu for groups of eight or more is $95 per person, and the sample function menu is $125 per person, with dishes such as oysters, tuna crudo, steak tartare, gnocchi, market fish, sirloin and the restaurant's burnt Alaska. Drinks can be on consumption, a selection of bottles from the wine list, or a package: standard is $64 per person for two hours or $84 for three, and premium is $98 or $118. A $1,000 deposit secures the date, a 10% service charge applies to the bill, and Sundays and public holidays carry surcharges.
