About Function Room @ Blacktown Tavern

Blacktown Tavern is a family-friendly pub on Kildare Road in Blacktown with a bistro, a bottle shop, hotel rooms and free onsite parking. Its Function Room is a separate space with its own bar, set up for anything from a sit-down dinner to a standing party, and the venue provides an event manager for the planning and a dedicated host on the night. The Function Room seats 70 at round tables or holds 120 cocktail style, and it comes with a private bar, a sound system and microphone, TV screens and free Wi-Fi. Tables can be dressed for a formal dinner or swapped for high tables for a standing event, and the layout can be changed to suit. The room is wheelchair accessible. For larger crowds, the pub also offers semi-private areas in the main dining room and the undercover beer garden. Catering needs at least 30 guests. Canapé packages give two pieces per person of six, eight or ten items for $40, $45 or $50 per person, a two-course set menu costs $55 per person and three courses $60, and an Italian grazing table of salads, pasta and pizza is $55 per person. Share platters start at $85 and serve 15. A minimum spend applies, or the room can be taken for a hire fee if guests will buy their own drinks. A 10% deposit, or $300 on a minimum spend booking, secures the date.

Canapé packages cost $40, $45 or $50 per person (6, 8 or 10 items, two pieces each). Set menus are $55 per person for two courses and $60 for three, and the Italian grazing table is $55 per person, all with a 30-guest minimum. A minimum spend applies to the room and is confirmed by management by email; a room hire fee is available instead. Deposit: 10% for private events or $300 for minimum spend bookings.

Canapés (tartlets, bruschetta, rice paper rolls, party pies, sausage rolls, samosas, spring rolls, wings, satay skewers), alternate-drop set menus with dishes such as sirloin, chicken Kiev, barramundi and a vegetable curry, an Italian grazing table with salads, pasta and pizza, and platters from sandwiches to salt and pepper squid. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are marked. Only a celebration cake may be brought in.
