About First Floor Dining Room @ Pasture of Balmoral

Pasture of Balmoral is a restaurant at 51 The Esplanade, Mosman, across the road from Balmoral Beach. It opens daily for breakfast and lunch and for dinner on Friday and Saturday, with a pasture-to-plate approach and a kitchen that leans towards Australian and Asian flavours. Functions take place in the first floor dining room upstairs, where wide bay windows look over Balmoral Beach and out to the harbour. The room is white and bright, with woven pendant lights, timber floors and long tables for up to 42 seated guests, and it is booked for exclusive use for three hours at lunch or dinner, with longer hire possible on request. The restaurant hosts weddings, baby showers, birthday lunches and other gatherings there. For bigger groups the whole restaurant, 75 covers across both floors, can be quoted. The function menu is a three-course sharing feast. Guests choose three starters, such as brown butter scallops, beetroot panzanella, calamari, baked camembert or mushroom arancini, then two mains from options including fish of the day, confit duck, beef eye fillet, lamb rump and pastas or gnocchi, with focaccia, salad, chips and a coffee or tea each. It costs $85 per person, or $95 with a glass of house wine, beer or prosecco. The room has no hire fee for 30 or more adults, and BYO is not allowed.
