About Courtyard @ Elliott's
Elliott's is a modern Australian restaurant and bar on Elliott Street in Balmain, run by Atticus Hospitality. Its menu is built around shared plates, a steak list and a cocktail card, and the building spreads over a downstairs bar, an upstairs dining room with a balcony, a private dining room and a large rear courtyard. The venue also runs DJs through the week. The courtyard is the biggest of the function areas. It is an open-air-style space full of greenery with a custom retractable roof and heaters, so a booking does not depend on the forecast. Set up for dinner with a dance floor it seats roughly 72 to 80; without the dance floor it takes around 82 to 104 seated, and for a standing party it holds up to 110. A stage and AV equipment can be arranged for speeches, a band or presentations. Food for groups is based on the shared chef's menu at $90 per person, which runs through snacks such as chicken parfait and trout rillette, stracciatella and grilled leek, then pressed short rib with potatoes and salad, and a sorbet dessert. Pescatarian ($90), vegetarian ($80) and vegan ($80) versions sit alongside it, and the team tailors food and drink packages to each group.
