About Clarendon Tavern
Clarendon Tavern is a family-owned pub at 244 Hawkesbury Valley Way in Clarendon, on the stretch of road that links Windsor and Richmond. Locals know it as Claro. It sits a few minutes from Hawkesbury Racecourse, the Hawkesbury Showground and RAAF Base Richmond, and pairs a bistro and a bar pouring from 58 taps with a kids' playground in the courtyard and a front patio where dogs are welcome. For private events the pub has four areas to reserve, two inside and two outside, and the whole venue can be booked exclusively. The Claro Room is upstairs, away from the main bar, with its own bar, bathrooms, a dance floor, an AV projector and a balcony, and it seats up to 100 guests. Downstairs, the covered patio at the front of the bistro takes up to 70 under strings of fairy lights, while the beer garden holds up to 85 for a looser mingle, and you can bring your own music out there. Catering runs from shared platters to a full buffet. Platters cover wedges and onion rings, party pies, spring rolls, wings, seafood, sandwiches and sushi, and pizzas can be ordered by the ten or twenty. The buffet costs $40 per person for groups of at least 30 and includes roast beef, chicken in creamy mushroom sauce, a vegetarian cannelloni, salads, dessert and a tea and coffee station. A charcuterie grazing spread and canape-style pieces such as sliders and rice paper rolls can be added, and decorating can be arranged through the functions team.
