About P.J.O'Brien's
P.J.O'Brien's is an Irish pub at 57 King Street in the Sydney CBD, set at the base of the heritage Grace Hotel building. It opens every day for lunch and dinner, pours Guinness alongside whiskeys gathered from around the world, and has live music on its own stage from Wednesday to Sunday, mostly acoustic and traditional Irish sets. For private events the pub is divided into several areas. The open mezzanine upstairs is available for exclusive use by groups of 50 to 80, and holds 50 seated or 80 standing. The Library takes the same numbers, Toucan's Tables suits 50 standing, the Fireplace up to 30, the Sports Corner 20 and The Look Out 15. Bigger bookings or a full buyout may be possible with management approval. Cocktail events run on canapé packages: five pieces for $34 per person, seven for $42 or ten for $50, each including substantial items such as mini beef and Guinness pies or sliders. Share platters start at $60. Seated lunches and dinners cost $65 per person for two courses or $80 for three, with a minimum of ten guests. Drinks can run as a bar tab on consumption with a limit you choose, or as a package from $70 per person for two hours. Menu choices and dietary needs are confirmed with the events manager a week before the event.
