Bacar Restaurant & Bar is the street-level restaurant inside the Pullman hotel on Olympic Boulevard in Sydney Olympic Park, a few minutes on foot from Accor Stadium and Qudos Bank Arena. It trades daily from breakfast through dinner, and the bar pours wine and cocktails from late morning until 11pm. Guests can park at the hotel whether or not they are staying there, and the restaurant is on one level with accessible parking bays. There are three ways to hold a gathering. A semi-private dining room takes up to 16 people seated, and the team can stretch that to around 35 by sectioning off part of the floor. Groups of 13 or more can also book tables in the main dining room. For a bigger night, the whole restaurant can be taken over for up to 80 seated or 150 on a standing cocktail basis, which suits milestone birthdays, engagement parties and end-of-year work functions. The interior is warm and contemporary, with dark timber, framed photography along the walls and white-clothed tables. Group dining runs on a set menu written by Executive Chef Marvin Ma: $90 per person for two courses or $105 per person for three, with an alternate serve available for an extra $10 per person. Extra sides are $15 each. The kitchen handles gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan requests if you flag them when booking, and its meat comes from halal suppliers. A 10% surcharge applies on Sundays and 15% on public holidays. Enquiries go through the forms on the private events pages, where you give the date, times and head count.
