About Armorica Grande Brasserie

Armorica Grande Brasserie is a large French brasserie on Crown Street in Surry Hills, styled after the grand dining rooms of Paris with red leather booths, marble tables, brass lamps and a long bar. A custom Josper grill sits at the centre of the kitchen, and the menu draws on the cooking of Paris and northern France. It opens for lunch from Tuesday to Sunday and for dinner every night. For events there are three levels of booking. The Private Dining Room seats up to 20 at its own table, the semi-private section seats around 30, and full hire of the brasserie takes up to 130 seated or 170 for a canapé reception. The main dining room alone seats about 90, with extra seating for close to 40 at the bar, and the floor plan can be reset for long tables or cleared to leave space for a stage or live entertainment. The venue takes bookings for birthdays, corporate dinners and weddings, and a dedicated events team works through each one. Food for events comes as shared set menus, Le Fixe at $95 per person and Le Grand-Fixe at $160 per person, running from bread, oysters and crudo to grilled meats, fish, sides and desserts such as crème brûlée. For a stand-up party, canapés are ordered by the piece, from oysters and brie-filled doughnuts to crab cakes, with more substantial pasta bowls. Celebration cakes and tarts from the in-house pastry team can be pre-ordered two days ahead.
