About Hang 10 Distillery
Hang 10 Distillery is a small craft distillery and bar in Warriewood on Sydney's Northern Beaches, named after the longboard trick where a surfer curls all ten toes over the front of the board. The founders are keen surfers, and sustainability drives how they work: the base spirit for their gin and vodka is fermented from unsold bread collected from local bakeries, and distilling runs on renewable energy. The distillery's creative workshops pair art with a drink. In the watercolour and gin sessions, a local artist from Amber Made Studio guides the group through painting either sea-inspired scenes or delicate botanicals, with a gin and tonic, nibbles and every art supply included. The gin glass painting workshop, hosted by local artist Kara Sargent, teaches a few easy decorating techniques so each guest finishes with a hand-painted glass to use at home. Both suit all skill levels and work well for hens parties, birthdays and team outings, and groups can enquire to book a private workshop on a date that suits. Away from the easel, the bar is a laid-back place to keep the celebration going, with house spirits, cocktails, beer brewed with Half-Pace Brewing Company, a short wine list and pizzas including vegan and gluten-free options. A one-hour distillery tour with a guided tasting of three gins is also on offer for small groups. Semi-private events can be held on any day the bar opens, with fully private hire available outside Fridays and Saturdays.

What creative workshops can we book?
There are two: a watercolour and gin session, with a choice of sea-themed or botanical subjects, and a gin glass painting workshop where each guest decorates a glass to keep.
What is included in the watercolour workshop?
A local artist guides the painting, and each guest gets a gin and tonic, nibbles and all the art and craft materials needed on the day.
Do we need painting experience?
No. The glass painting session is designed for all skill levels, and the artists walk the group through simple techniques step by step.
Is the bar BYO?
Outside food and drinks aren't allowed, as the bar serves its own spirits, beer, wine and pizzas. The exception is a birthday cake, so let the team know if you are bringing one.
Can we book the distillery privately?
Semi-private events can run on any day the bar is open, and fully private events are possible on days other than Friday and Saturday. Capacity is limited, so enquire early for larger groups.
