About Soul Drummer
Soul Drummer is an African drumming business based at Bondi Beach that has been running events in Sydney since 2006. Its team of master drummers and dancers performs at weddings, private parties and corporate functions, and the company is also known for corporate team building, community drum circles, school incursions and drum classes. It sells traditional African drums as well. For entertainment you can choose to simply watch, or make the show interactive. In the watch-only format the drummers and dancers perform a high-energy African drum and dance set. In the interactive format Soul Drummer hands out drums or percussion to part or all of the audience, and the performers lead the crowd through rhythms, dancing, clapping and singing. Performance styles listed on the site include African drumming and dance, a drum and fire show, Brazilian samba and capoeira performers, and belly dancers. Weddings are a regular booking. The performers can open with their own show and then lead the wedding party, or every guest, in a short drumming session, with the length set anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes and the timing worked out with your planner. Other occasions include birthday celebrations, bucks and hens nights, Christmas parties, product launches, conferences and festivals. Each quote is worked out from guest numbers taking part, the size of the performing team, the length of the booking and the venue of the event.
