About Wanderlust Pole Studio
Wanderlust Pole Studio is a pole and aerial fitness studio on Castlereagh Street in Liverpool, run by co-owners Mucci and Astral. It has built a community of students across south-west Sydney, and its instructors teach people of every shape, size and fitness level, with a focus on building confidence as much as strength. Hens parties are the studio's main group offering. The package runs for an hour and a half and starts with a glass of sparkling for each guest. The group then chooses its style of lesson, either pole dancing, lap dance or burlesque, and the instructors teach a few moves and simple tricks before putting on a pole show of their own that brings the bride-to-be into the act. The studio supplies playful costumes and props for everyone to dress up in, and there is time at the end for photos and video. Parties run on Friday evenings from 9.30pm or on Saturdays from 3pm, and the same format can be booked for birthdays, anniversaries or a night out with friends. The rest of the week is given over to eight-week terms of classes. Beginners can start with pole tricks or pole routine classes, and there are aerial courses on lyra and sling, heels choreography without a pole, chair and floorwork classes, contortion, handstands and adult ballet. Students perform for friends and family at a show night held every second term, and the studio hosts guest workshops and an in-house competition. Casual passes let newcomers join a beginners class before committing to a package.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a hens pole party cost?
The hens package is $45 a guest for a 90-minute party. Groups of fewer than eight people are charged a minimum of $360 for the booking.
What is included in the hens package?
Sparkling on arrival, your choice of a pole, lap dance or burlesque lesson, a pole performance by the studio's performers that involves the bride-to-be, costumes and props, and time for photos and video at the end.
When can hens parties be held?
Parties run on Friday evenings starting at 9.30pm or on Saturdays from 3pm. Final guest numbers are due five days beforehand, and the confirmed number is what gets charged on the night.
What should guests wear?
For pole, shorts that sit above the knee and a singlet or short-sleeved top are recommended, since bare skin is what grips the pole. Skip moisturiser for a day beforehand, as it makes the pole slippery.
Where do we park?
The studio is in Suite 5 at 125 Castlereagh Street, Liverpool. There is street parking nearby and a couple of spare spaces in the car park behind the building.
