About The Golden Era Dance Studio
The Golden Era Dance Studio sits upstairs at 207 Clarence Street in the Sydney CBD, a few minutes on foot from Town Hall station and close to plenty of bus and metro routes. Formerly Bobbi's Gold Pole Studio, it is now run by founder Luci James as a boutique space with ten competition-grade 38mm brass poles that can be set to spin or static, soft lighting and high mirrors. The poles are spaced well apart, so each person has room to move. Alongside its term classes, the studio hosts private parties for hens nights, birthdays and team bonding. A party gives your group exclusive use of the studio for an hour and a half, with a lesson shaped to suit the occasion and a performance from your instructor. Styles on offer include pole dancing, burlesque, striptease, lap dancing, floorwork, booty shaking and the Charleston. Parties are $50 per person with a minimum of eight; smaller groups pay a flat $400 split between them. A $100 non-refundable deposit secures the date. One bottle of bubbles is included for every four guests. Party times are Saturdays from 4pm, with some Friday and Sunday afternoons also available, and bookings are confirmed by text or email. No experience is needed: beginners are fine in shorts and a t-shirt, and heels are optional. Participants must be over 18. The studio describes itself as an inclusive space for all bodies and genders, which suits mixed groups where some guests have never danced before.

How much does a dance party at The Golden Era cost?
