About Concept Event Management
Concept Event Management, known as CEM, is a small Sydney firm that works as a professional conference organiser and event producer. Its office is on Chandos Street near the St Leonards and Crows Nest border. The business is run by its owners, who stay hands-on with the events they sell, and it says most of its clients come back to it again. Conferences and congresses are the core of the work, but the team also produces the evening side of business events: gala dinners, awards programs and shows, and social programs for delegates. Corporate clients use it for launches, roadshows, in-house conferences and awards evenings; for associations, national congresses and industry summits; for not-for-profits, fundraisers and awareness events; and for medical groups, scientific meetings and professional development days. Owner and creative director Mark Wallage handles creative and technical production and has worked as a live show caller at the Sydney and Beijing Olympics and the Melbourne Commonwealth Games. The staff list covers event sizes from about 100 to 2,500 delegates, and the business has worked in every major Australian city and around the Asia Pacific. Clients can hand over an entire event or just one piece of it. The service list runs from venue sourcing, budgets and registration to AV, catering, accommodation, speaker programs, sponsorship, exhibitions, creative design, supplier bookings, risk and WHS planning, onsite management and a post-event report. There are no published prices, so each job is quoted. It suits companies, member bodies and charities that want a gala, awards night or launch produced to a conference standard, rather than someone planning a private party.
