About Michael Janz Celebrant
Michael Janz is a marriage celebrant based in Randwick with more than ten years in the role. His ceremonies are relaxed and modern, built around the couple's story and delivered with warmth and a bit of humour. He limits himself to a single wedding a day, so the couple he is marrying has his full attention from the first enquiry through to the walk back up the aisle. He offers fully personalised wedding ceremonies, simple legals-only weddings, elopements and micro weddings, vow renewals and naming days. The legal side is covered in detail: he guides you through the Notice of Intended Marriage, identity documents and the required wording, and after the wedding he applies and pays for your official marriage certificate so it reaches you sooner. Most of his ceremonies run about 20 to 25 minutes, and he brings a wireless PA that works indoors and outdoors. He provides vow examples and templates, a list of readings, and help choosing rituals that suit you. Most of Michael's weddings are in the Eastern Suburbs, around the harbour and on the North Shore, at places like Coogee, Bondi, Watsons Bay, Mosman, Taronga Zoo, Gunners' Barracks and the Royal Botanic Garden, and along the beaches from Maroubra to Manly. He also travels to the Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands and Hunter Valley. Planning starts with an introductory phone or Zoom call, followed by the paperwork, the ceremony writing and the day itself.
