About Gary Mooney Marriage Celebrant
Gary Mooney is a marriage celebrant from Bronte who has been marrying couples since 2008 and has conducted more than 2,000 ceremonies. He grew up in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs and spent years in customer service with Qantas before celebrancy, and his ceremonies have a relaxed, friendly feel. Beach weddings at Bondi, Bronte and Maroubra are a regular part of his work, though he travels all over Sydney and further along the coast. His process has four steps. First a chat or meeting, over coffee, by phone or on Zoom. Then the planning, where Gary takes care of the legal paperwork and writes a ceremony around the two of you. About one to two weeks before the wedding there is a rehearsal to cover timings, music and protocol, held in person or online. On the day he arrives 45 minutes early with his wireless Bose PA set up and a wireless microphone ready, and you can stream your own ceremony music through it via Bluetooth. For couples who want a simpler legal wedding, Gary offers legals-only ceremonies, either privately at his Bronte home for the couple, two witnesses and up to two guests, or at set locations from Monday to Saturday. He can supply the witnesses for a small fee. Once the ceremony is done he can also stay on as your reception MC, keeping the run sheet on time and running games such as the shoe game or trivia.

What does Gary's full ceremony package include?
Unlimited meetings, lodgement of paperwork with NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages, a personalised ceremony, sample vows and readings, a rehearsal, use of his Bose PA and the marriage certificate on the day.
Does Gary offer legals-only weddings?
Yes. He holds private legals-only ceremonies at his Bronte home for the couple, two witnesses and two guests, or at set locations Monday to Saturday.
Can Gary also MC our reception?
Yes. He offers an MC package, keeping the reception on schedule and running games like the shoe game or trivia. Combined celebrant and MC fees are quoted on request.
Will Gary bring a sound system?
Every full package ceremony uses his wireless Bose PA, which handles up to 250 guests, plus a wireless microphone, and you can play music through it by Bluetooth.
When is the rehearsal?
Gary holds the rehearsal about one to two weeks before the wedding, in person or over Zoom, covering timings, music and protocol.
