About Marry Us Mary
Marry Us Mary is the celebrancy of Mary Vevers, an authorised marriage celebrant who grew up in Ireland and now lives and works in Sydney. She marries couples at big weddings, intimate elopements and short Legals Only ceremonies, and also conducts vow renewals and baby naming ceremonies. Her ceremonies are written from the couple's own story, with room for humour, and she is just as comfortable with an unconventional plan as a traditional one. Before celebrancy Mary worked in event management, ran a catering business, nursed and trained in aromatherapy. That mix shows in how she works: organised, practical and steady when a wedding day gets busy. She meets couples to learn how they got together, helps them shape their vows if they want help, and can share the ceremony with a family member or friend while she looks after the legal parts. She has married couples in backyards, on beaches, in harbour parks and gardens, including a Northern Beaches couple who wed after a 20-year engagement. On the paperwork side, Mary takes couples through the Notice of Intended Marriage, which can be lodged with her up to 18 months ahead and must be in at least one month before the wedding. She brings the microphone on the day and keeps the ceremony moving. Mary does not publish fees, so contact her with your date and location for a quote.
