About A Celebration Day
A Celebration Day is the business of Amanda Knapton, a marriage celebrant who lives in the Sutherland Shire and travels across Sydney and down the South Coast. She was appointed in 2008 and has married hundreds of couples since, in settings ranging from the beach to the mountains. In 2021 she also qualified as a celebrant trainer and assessor, and she now helps people entering the profession build their skills. Her ceremonies are written around each couple, aiming for a mix of laughter, warmth and a few happy tears rather than a stiff formal script. Amanda puts a lot of weight on detail and organisation, so once a date is locked in couples can hand over the ceremony planning and relax in the lead-up. Alongside full weddings she offers elopement options for Sydney couples, including a legals-only ceremony, a bespoke elopement and two styled packages.
