About Marry Us Gary
Marry Us Gary is run by Gary, known as Gazza, an authorised civil marriage celebrant and wedding MC based in Narrabeen. A former electrician and actor with a Bachelor of Performing Arts, he became a celebrant six months after his own wedding at Willow Farm in Berry and now does it full time. His ceremonies are non-religious and aim to sit between funny and sentimental, though cultural or spiritual elements can be added, and he is a vocal supporter of marriage equality. His personalised ceremony package includes all travel, the legal paperwork, registration of the marriage and purchase and lodgement of the official certificate, unlimited calls, emails and Zoom sessions, and up to two meetings. At a face-to-face planning session he and the couple map out entrances, music, readings and the reception. He offers vow guidance and prints the vows on cards, brings a Bose PA with a wireless Sennheiser microphone, and arrives 60 to 90 minutes before the ceremony to check the rings and greet guests. Gary also hosts receptions, either combined with the ceremony or as an MC-only booking. He sends a questionnaire on the speakers, writes a script and run sheet, liaises with the venue, caterers and videographers, and handles entrances, speeches, telegrams, games, cake cutting, the first dance and bouquet toss. He has worked at venues across the Northern Beaches, Southern Highlands and Hunter. Prices are quoted on enquiry.
