About Married by Andy
Married by Andy is the celebrancy of Andy Rohner, who is based in Zetland in Sydney's inner south. He moved into celebrancy from a corporate career after friends who had watched him speak and host events asked him to marry them. That mix of public speaking, storytelling and events management shapes his ceremonies, which aim to be fun and personal rather than formal, and built around how the two of you met and what you are like together. Andy looks after the details so couples can relax: the legal paperwork, the Notice of Intended Marriage and the separate pre-ceremony meetings the law requires, run sheets and coordination with other suppliers. He keeps in touch however suits you, whether that is WhatsApp, FaceTime, Teams or in person. He grew up in Germany and offers ceremonies in German as well as English, with dedicated guidance for German couples marrying in Australia, including the documents they need and how to have their marriage recognised at home. He also works as a master of ceremonies. Having started the celebrations with your ceremony, he can carry the day into the reception, introducing speakers and keeping timings and suppliers on track, which suits couples who would rather not hand a microphone to a guest. Andy has married couples on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, on yachts on the harbour, outside the Opera House and in galleries, as well as on beaches and private estates.
