About Bedroom Studio
Bedroom Studio is Chris and Casey, a husband and wife who photograph and film weddings in Newcastle as well as around their Hunter Valley home base. Chris has photographed over 1,000 weddings and still leads the shooting team, and Casey is the person couples deal with for questions, timelines and planning. The studio takes its name from the video business Chris started as a teenager in a studio flat. Newcastle gives a photographer plenty to work with: old sandstone and brick buildings in the city, and wind-blown beaches a few minutes away. Bedroom Studio's approach suits that mix, moving between relaxed documentary coverage of the day and more styled, editorial portraits of the couple, shot on both digital and analogue gear. You can book photography on its own, a cinema package, or a combined booking in which photographers and filmmakers work as one crew. The analogue extras are what set the studio apart: 35mm stills delivered on paper and as digital scans, a reel of 8mm film, and camcorder footage with the warm, grainy look of an old home video. Full-day photo coverage brings back more than 600 edited images in a private online gallery. Every couple is paired with a production coordinator who helps shape the timeline and liaises with your planner if you have one. Dual-slot cameras and several separate backups protect the images and footage until the final edits are delivered.

Does Bedroom Studio shoot weddings in Newcastle?
Yes. Although Chris and Casey call the Hunter Valley home, they regularly photograph and film weddings in Newcastle, and they travel to Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens and the Central Coast as well.
What do photography packages cost?
Five hours with one photographer costs $1999. Eight hours is $2999, and ten hours is $3999, which also includes a couples shoot before the wedding. Listed prices include GST.
Can we have both photos and video?
Yes. Combo packages put the photographers and filmmakers on the day together. Film options include full ceremony, speech and dance edits, drone footage, an 8mm reel and camcorder video.
How many edited photos will we get?
A full day of coverage produces more than 600 edited photos, delivered to a private online gallery where you can download them in high resolution.
Can we add extra hours or a second photographer?
Yes. Packages are flexible: extra photography time is $150 an hour, a second photographer starts at $500, and drone footage, film photography or an album can be added.
