About Thierry Boudan Photography
Thierry Boudan, pronounced Tee-air-ree, is a Mauritius-raised wedding photographer based in Kotara who has photographed over 1,500 weddings. Magazine work shaped his eye for composition, yet on a wedding day he works quietly in the background, catching genuine reactions, full dance floors and the unscripted moments, and stepping in with simple guidance only for portraits and family photos. Around Newcastle and Lake Macquarie his weddings include Merewether Surf House, Newcastle Town Hall, Lake Macquarie Yacht Club and a lakeside celebration at Raffertys Resort. Knowing a venue in advance helps with timing the sunset portraits and finding sheltered spots if rain arrives. The business is a small team of Thierry, Wayne and Pat. As well as photography, couples can book a candid wedding film and a content creator, who stays from the final preparations until the formalities wrap up and uploads unedited photos and clips by the next day so they can be shared quickly. The finished images, fully edited in high resolution, arrive in a private online gallery that guests can download from, and favourite frames can be turned into a custom album. Engagement shoots are available as a relaxed warm-up before the wedding, and Thierry helps plan the photo timeline ahead of time.

Can we book a wedding film for our Newcastle wedding as well as photos?
Yes. Wedding films can be packaged with photography, with a saving built in for booking both, and a content creator is available for fast behind-the-scenes clips.
When will our photos be ready?
The target is about four weeks after the wedding, stretching to as long as 12 weeks in peak season. They are delivered in a private online gallery that is simple to share.
How many edited photos do couples usually receive?
Most galleries hold somewhere from 500 to 1200 edited images; the count depends on how the day runs, how many locations there are and what unfolds.
How do we lock in our date?
Sign the agreement and pay half of the photography fee, or $500 for videography. A short chat first is welcome so you can check the fit.
