Its functions run upstairs, in a private room on the second floor that keeps much of the building's original character. The room seats 40 for a formal dinner or holds 80 for a standing party. Original features include a floor-to-ceiling timber wall unit, a blue brick fireplace and a sculpted ceiling, with timber panelling and mounted stag heads adding to the look. A balcony overlooking the centre of Mayfield gives guests somewhere to step out, and it is the designated spot for smoking. A small bar beside the room serves only your group and can be stocked with the beers, wines and spirits you pick from the hotel's list. The room is up a flight of stairs and is not wheelchair accessible. Venue hire starts at $50, with exact pricing set by the functions manager, and includes planning and coordination by the hotel's staff. For food, choose from platters, house-made pizzas for a casual event, or a seated menu for up to 40 designed with the head chef.
